Ahmedabad: Mohammed Siraj's magic is on display in the first Test against the West Indies. Siraj wreaked havoc, decimating the West Indies top order. Siraj's bowling in Ahmedabad has stunned world cricket. Indian fast bowler Siraj has set a unique record in Test cricket this year.

Highest Wicket Taker For India

Mohammed Siraj is the highest wicket-taker for India in 2025 and the second-highest wicket-taker in the world. Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani currently holds the record for the most wickets in 2025. Blessing Muzarabani has taken a total of 36 Test wickets so far this year. Siraj now has 30 wickets. By doing so, Siraj has surpassed Mitchell Starc, who took a total of 29 wickets in 2025.

Siraj's Inswinger

Siraj won the hearts of fans by dismissing Brandon King with his powerful inswinger. The ball bounced off the pitch and then moved sharply inside the wicket, deceiving the batsman. The West Indies batsman thought the ball would not touch the stumps, so he tried to leave it. But the ball bounced off the pitch and hit the stumps, leaving King stunned and Siraj in celebration.

West Indies Score At Lunch

The first match of the two-match Test series between India and West Indies is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. West Indies' score was 90/5 at lunch on the first day. Captain Roston Chase was at the crease with 22 runs. India's bowlers performed brilliantly in the first session. Mohammed Siraj took three wickets in seven overs, while Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.

West Indies won the toss in the first Test and decided to bat first. The Indian team consists of three spinners and two fast bowlers. This team also includes two all-rounders.
