WPL 2026 Full Schedule Released: Final not on holiday; Mumbai and Vadodara to host matches

Mumbai: The BCCI has released the full schedule for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026. This will be the first time the final will not be played on a holiday. According to the BCCI, the Eliminator will be played on February 3 (Tuesday) and the Final on February 5 (Thursday).

Tournament Venues

All matches this season will be held in only two cities. The preliminary round and the first two doubleheaders will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The second half of the tournament will then be held in Vadodara, where the playoffs and final will be played.

Total Matches and Doubleheaders

A total of 22 matches will be played in the WPL 2026. Two of these will be doubleheaders, while the remaining matches will be played starting at 7 pm. The tournament is scheduled for 28 days.

Preliminary Round Schedule

The first match will be played between the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Navi Mumbai on January 9. This will be followed by matches between the UP Warriors and Gujarat Giants on January 10th, as well as the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. All teams will play in Navi Mumbai in the preliminary round.

Second Phase in Vadodara

The second phase of the tournament will begin in Vadodara on January 19th. This phase will feature matches like Gujarat Giants vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals vs. Mumbai Indians. The eliminator will be played on February 3rd, and the final on February 5th.

Playoffs and Final
