New Delhi/ 6 May 2016. President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Shashank Manohar is going to put in his papers by mid-May.
Reasons
Though neither Shashank nor his closest confidantes have spoken about it so far, but looking at the way the Supreme Court is viewing things, his departure from BCCI is obvious.
He is likely to take over as the International Cricket Councilâs (ICC) independent chairman in May 2016 for five years till 2021.
Shortest term
When he quits BCCI, Shashank will be its second president to work for a little over six months. He joined BCCI in October last year.
Earlier Jagmohan Dalmiya was the first who headed BCCI for six months from March to September 2015 until he passed away.
