IPS Vidhi Kumar Birdi is new IGP Kashmir zone; IPS Vijay Kumar new ADGP Law and Order J&K

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Government on Tuesday shifted two senior IPS officers. Vidhi Kumar Birde is posted as new Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, while ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has been posted as ADGP Law and Order J&K.
Srinagar: IPS officer Vidhi Kumar Birdri appointed as IGP Kashmir. ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar is transferred and posted as ADGP (Law and Order).

Vidhi Kumar Birde is the IPS of the 2003 batch of AGMUT cadre.
Vijay Kumar is the IPS of 1997 batch of the AGMUT cadre.
This appointment comes alongside the transfer and posting of Vijay Kumar, who is now new Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Law and Order in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
In addition, the officer shall also hold the charge of the post of IGP Armed Kashmir, till further orders.
