Police Inspector shot dead in Lucknow by assailants on Diwali; Was posted in PAC Prayagraj

Lucknow: A police inspector Satish Kumar Singh, posted with the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) Prayagraj, was murdered in his home late on Sunday night amid Diwali celebrations.
The cop was shot by unidentified assailants when he was opening the gate of his residence under Krishna Nagar police station area in Lucknow.
The incident happened when he returned home at around 2 am with his wife and 10-year-old daughter and was opening the gate of his home at Manas Nagar colony.
He was rushed to the trauma centre by his family members where he died during treatment.
Investigation is underway.
