Lucknow: UP STF has arrested two more accused in connection with a paper leak in the written examination conducted for constable recruitment in Uttar Pradesh on 17 and 18 February 2024. Both accused are from Prayagraj.

The arrested accused include Ajay Singh Chauhan, son of Tej Pratap Singh Chauhan, resident of Fazilpur post Babuganj police station Phulpur district Prayagraj. Sonu Singh Yadav, son of Gulab Singh Yadav, resident of village Karonja Kala Post Babuganj police station Phulpur district Prayagraj.

Arrested accused Ajay Singh said on interrogation that we are a gang of people who do the work of cheating and employing solvers in competitive examinations. We charge huge amount for providing the papers to the candidates before the examination, and after collecting the money, we obtain the examination papers through active gangs and make them available to the candidates.

About 50 lakh youth of the state had participated in the constable recruitment examination. After the paper leak, the exam was canceled and it was announced to conduct the exam again within six months.
