New Delhi: Actor-producer Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma. The news was broken by his son Hrithik Roshan on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Hrithik, on Tuesday, shared a picture in which he can be seen posing with his father in a gym. The veteran actor's bright smile is proof that his health struggles have not taken a toll on his high spirits.

While Hrithik, being a fitness enthusiast, has always been in a good shape, it was a pleasant surprise to see Rakesh Roshan just as ripped as his son.

"Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him," the 'Kaabil' wrote in the caption. (ANI)
