SECI CMD RP Gupta thrashed by woman and her hubby on dog row

Noida: Former IAS officer and presently CMD of Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) and a woman exchanged blows after the officer tried to stop the woman from taking her dog in the lift in a residential society in Noida. Later the woman’s husband also joined in the scuffle.
The video of the incident is viral on social media.
In the video, the woman snatches the mobile phone from the officer and then slaps him. In turn, the officer pushes the woman in his defence. In this video, another girl is seen beside the woman.
Immediately after, the woman's husband comes, enters the lift and assaults the retired IAS. Somehow the society security guard intervenes and saves the officer, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The retired officer is RP Gupta who is a 1987 batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer.
Gupta is currently posted as CMD in the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) from 15 June 2023. Earlier he was Environment Secretary in the Government of India.
Following the incident, local police rushed to the spot after getting information from the society.
Rajneesh Verma, Assistant Commissioner of Police-1, said that no complaint has been received from either side on this matter.
