Female students tie Rakhi to Police Officers, strengthening social harmony
Raksha Bandhan, a religious and familial holiday, is celebrated in Gorakhpur by hundreds of students and teachers from Mount Eddy Public School Dodo and Naval Academy Unwal. They tie rakhis to the police and give them presents, adding to the festive mood. Station House Officer Anoop Singh reassured the students’ safety, while women officers used sandalwood roli and akshat to tie rakhis on police officers’ foreheads. The event strengthens children’s sense of social values and responsibility, according to the school manager and head of St. Khushboo Singh.
