Coimbatore witnesses spiritual fervor as Maha Rudhra Abhishekam; Ramesh Tibrewal and family lead the event

Coimbatore: City witnessed a spiritual event on Sunday as the much awaited Maha Rudhra Abhishek Puja took place at the Rajasthani Sangh in RS Puram. All roads on Sunday in Coimbatore led to Rajastani Sangh in RS Puram where the much-awaited maha Rudhra Abhishekam was held with religious fervor.

From the break of dawn, Sunday was full of Shivoham, Shivoham with chants of Om Namah Shivaya and Har Har Mahadev feeling the cold breezy morning. The cool, breezy morning was beautifully complemented by a gentle drizzle, as if nature itself was blessing the occasion

With the chanting of the Vedic hymns, the Maha Rudhra Abhishekam started with the public and VVIPs did Shiva Abhishek with milk, curd, turmeric, coconut water, honey, herbals, sandal powder and other holy ingredients and offered their prayers to the lord. Many government officials, trustees from various association and religious, education institutions participated with common public, a grand Maha Prasadhi was organized for thousands of devotees who came to the venue.

Elaborate arrangements were made for all religious events, which were managed perfectly by Jaganath Textile group staff. They worked hard for one month, planning each job under the managership of Ramesh Tibrewal and his three sons.

Former minister and Coimbatore Thondamathur MLA and AIADMK Chief SP Velumani and Singanallur MLA Jayakumar also graced the function with their families. Rajasthani Sangh President Gotham Chand Srisrimal, said that all Coimbatoreans were happy, and we were honored that this holy function was happening in Rajasthani Sangh Coimbatore welfare association President Mahaveer Bothra said that he got much needed positive energy when he did Abhishekam and pujan, vice president of CWA Kamlesh Bafna also said that it was so peacefull.

Coimbatore people thanked the Tibrewal family for their noble gesture, many common men cannot afford Maha Rudra Abhishekam, they felt that they were in Haridwar or Kedarnath.

Maha Rudrabhishekam is an Abhishekam performed by Lord Shiva, especially in the month of Adi in Tamil or Shravan in Hindi. It involves reciting mantras called Sri Rudram and anointing the Shiva lingam.
