New Delhi: The central government has rejected the ongoing discussions about TikTok's return to India. Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav clarified that there are currently no plans to lift the ban on Chinese short-video app TikTok.
The minister said that there has been no discussion or proposal with the government on this issue. Speculation about its return on social media had intensified after TikTok's website became available on some broadband and mobile networks, but officials described it as a mere technical glitch.
