Earlier, Ram Rahim was released on 40-day parole in August last year. During that time, he delivered sermons at the Dera headquarters along with satsangs (religious gatherings).
Pushkar Karki, CIB Director of Nepal Police, told ANI, “Until now, we have verified that she is not in Nepal and we haven’t had any further information.”
The Haryana Police has released a list of forty three people, wanted over violence post Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s conviction of rape of female followers.
The Dera Sacha Sauda chief is now caught up in another trial by the same court in connection with two separate murder cases.
Dera followers and functionaries had allegedly murdered Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati and former Dera manager Ranjit Singh in 2002 on Chief Ram Rahim’s orders.
The Haryana DGP, however, refrained to comment on the reports of the arrest of five Haryana police personnel who were a part of Z-plus security cover of Ram Rahim Singh, for obstructing the government duty.
Death toll rise to 30 in the violence in Panchkula, six of them due to bullet injuries. Another person succumbed to injuries in Sirsa, taking the death toll to three in the district.
The High Court has said that it doesn’t want a situation like that of the Jat agitation to take place in Haryana and has, hence, asked the Centre to deploy additional forces, and take strong steps.
