Uttar Pradesh continues to reel under an intense heatwave, with Banda emerging as the hottest city in the country at 47.4°C. The IMD has issued alerts in 55 districts, though rain is likely from April 28.

At the start of the week, Monday saw a maximum temperature of 26.1°C and a minimum of 9.3°C. The lowest minimum temperature of 8.8°C was recorded in Aya Nagar. According to the Meteorological Department, light fog is expected on Wednesday morning.
