Prayagraj: Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that the future growth of India in the 21st century will depend on two major strengths - the power of its youth and the power of data.
Addressing a large gathering of students during the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme in Prayagraj, Rahul Gandhi interacted with young participants who raised issues related to education, employment opportunities and their future prospects.
During his address, Gandhi said that India’s young population is its biggest strength and that the combination of youth power and data will play a crucial role in building the economy of the future. He said that India has nearly 40 crore young people and their energy, talent and ideas can help the country achieve greater progress in the coming decades. According to him, the 21st-century economy will be shaped by technology, innovation and the ability to use data effectively.
“Today, I have come to talk to you about three things - pain, data and wealth,” Gandhi said while explaining the importance of young people in the country’s development.
Focusing on the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI), Rahul Gandhi said that data is the foundation of modern technology. He explained that while data can be used to develop AI systems, AI cannot create original data on its own. He added that control and understanding of data will become increasingly important in the digital economy, where technology and innovation are expected to drive future growth.

During his interaction with students, Rahul Gandhi also discussed issues related to education and youth challenges. He alleged that the government has failed to address the concerns of students and said that the future of young people should not be compromised.
Targeting the BJP-led government, Gandhi alleged that RSS pracharaks have been appointed in several institutions across the country, claiming that such developments affect the independence and functioning of educational institutions.

Speaking about the values of Indian society, Rahul Gandhi said that the country’s culture is based on truth and non-violence. He appealed to students to promote love, compassion and harmony instead of hatred.
He said that any fight against problems in the system should be carried out through peaceful and democratic methods. Gandhi also assured young people fighting for their rights that he would continue to stand with them.
