Agra: A big conspiracy has been unearthed, in a joint operation by Uttar Pradesh ATS and Agra Police, of illegal conversion syndicate flourishing for the last many years here in Agra, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Under the guise of illegal conversion, some members of the gang had launched an open campaign on social media to make India an Islamic nation. The accused used to upload on social media the video clips of the worship by PM Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying that idol worship is forbidden in Islam.

Fun Of Hindu Beliefs

According to Police through these videos, they used to make fun of Hindu beliefs and to speak the language of religious division. In these posts the gang members referred to temples which were destroyed by historical Muslim invaders several times.

The investigation further revealed that this gang was active on almost every major social media platform Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Telegram and found dozens of such videos which could create communal tension.

One of these videos is of the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya where Prime Minister Modi is entering the temple and bowing on the stairs.
One of the videos shows Taj Mahal with a background voice which says that the history of this country is Islamic.

According to Police estimates the gang has international connections and may have more than 50 active members. The police believe that conversion was not just a matter of religious conversion, but it was a well-planned radical agenda.

The gang used provocative and emotional videos to enrol new members who were then kept connected to the organization by meeting their all needs including financial and residential ones.
