Sitapur: The family of senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former minister Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur district jail, has expressed deep concern about his health. Today, on Thursday (26 June), his wife, Tanzeem Fatima, and sons, Adeeb Azam and Shavez Khan, met him in jail.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the SP leader’s family met him for about 2 hours, and Tanzeem Fatima had taken about 10 kg of Dussehri mangoes with her. After meeting SP leader Azam Khan in jail, the family told the media that Azam Khan’s health is not good in jail.

Meeting Azam Khan in jail
The family, who came to meet Azam Khan in jail, says that Azam Khan’s condition in jail is worrying considering his age and health problems. Earlier, the SP leader’s son Abdullah Azam also said after meeting Azam Khan that his father has many diseases due to age. Earlier also Tanzeem Fatima and son Adeeb had met Azam Khan in jail.

Questions were also raised on the jail administration
During this, Tanzeem Fatima had also raised questions on the jail administration and said that Azam Khan is not getting adequate medical facilities in jail. This time also he has reiterated the same concern. Adeeb Azam said that it is not easy to stay in jail and his father’s health is deteriorating.

Son Abdullah Azam also sentenced
Let us tell you that SP leader Azam Khan was sentenced to seven years in the fake birth certificate case; he has been lodged in Sitapur jail for the last 18 months. In October 2023, SP leader Azam Khan was transferred from Rampur to Sitapur jail.
