Noida: A massive fire broke out at Aranya Society in Noida's Sector-119 on Monday after a suspected explosion in an air conditioner unit, triggering panic among residents of the high-rise complex. The fire reportedly started inside a flat on the 21st floor and quickly spread to an adjacent apartment.

Two Flats Damaged As Fire Spreads

Thick black smoke was seen rising from the building as flames engulfed at least two flats in the residential tower. Residents gathered outside the society while emergency teams launched firefighting operations to stop the blaze from spreading further.

Authorities said six fire tenders were deployed to the spot. Firefighters worked for several hours to control the flames and secure the affected floors.

No Casualties Reported

Officials confirmed that there were no reports of injuries or fatalities in the incident. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been established, although preliminary information suggests the blaze may have been triggered by an air conditioner explosion. A detailed investigation will be carried out once the site is declared safe.

Recent Fire Incidents Raise Safety Concerns

The incident comes days after a deadly fire at a commercial building in Lucknow claimed 15 lives, most of them students attending classes. Separately, a fire broke out at a residential building in Delhi's Keshav Puram early on Monday, where three people were safely rescued from the terrace. That blaze was confined to electric meters on the ground floor, and no injuries were reported.

The latest incidents have once again highlighted concerns over fire safety in residential and commercial buildings, particularly during the summer months when electrical appliances are under heavy use.
