New Delhi: In many households today, minor disagreements often escalate into frequent arguments, creating stress and tension among family members. Financial difficulties, strained relationships and a negative atmosphere can also affect emotional well-being, prompting many people to seek ways to restore peace and balance at home.

Experts often emphasise communication and understanding, but traditional practices continue to remain popular among those looking to create a more positive living environment.

Financial Challenges and Negative Energy Concerns

When families experience persistent financial struggles or find that plans repeatedly fail despite their efforts, some people associate these setbacks with negative energy in the home. In such situations, traditional remedies are often adopted with the belief that they can help improve the overall atmosphere and attract positivity.

Staircase Ritual Believed to Promote Balance

One commonly followed traditional practice focuses on the staircase area of the house. According to the belief, a circular shape can be created at the centre of the staircase and kept clean and organised.

A straight line made with kumkum is then drawn through the circle, with a large dot placed above and below the line. Followers of this practice believe the ritual may help create a sense of balance and harmony within the home.

Main Entrance Considered Important

The main entrance is often regarded as the primary point through which positive energy enters a house. As part of traditional customs, people may apply turmeric marks on both sides of the main door and draw straight turmeric lines near the entrance.

Five kumkum marks are then placed above these lines. The ritual is believed by practitioners to help invite positive influences while reducing negativity within the household.

Positive Thinking Remains Key

While such traditional practices continue to be followed in many homes, maintaining healthy relationships, open communication and mutual respect remains essential. Many believe that combining positive thinking with cultural traditions can contribute to a more peaceful and supportive home environment.
