Starting the day with prayers is believed to bring mental peace and a sense of discipline. People often begin their morning by offering prayers and seeking blessings for health, success, and harmony.
According to Vastu Shastra, the north-east direction, also known as the Ishaan corner, is considered the most auspicious place for setting up a home temple. Worshipping while facing east is believed to enhance spiritual energy and focus. If the north-east is not available, the north direction can be considered as an alternative. However, placing a temple in the south or west direction is generally discouraged.
The north-east or Ishaan corner is believed to attract positive vibrations and support mental clarity and well-being. Keeping a temple in this area is said to help maintain harmony, health, and prosperity in the household environment.
Experts suggest that the area around the temple should remain clean, quiet, and clutter-free. Rooms like study or guest rooms can be located nearby as they support a peaceful atmosphere. The lamp or diya used during worship should ideally face east or north to align with positive energy flow.
Certain placements are considered unfavorable in Vastu. A bathroom should never be built near the temple space. Similarly, placing the temple directly on the floor is discouraged; it should be slightly elevated. Staircases near the prayer area are also avoided to maintain purity and calmness in the space.
While Vastu guidelines provide structure, faith and devotion are considered equally important. Belief and sincerity in prayer are said to bring peace and positivity into life, regardless of physical arrangements.
