New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar arrived at Karnataka Bhavan in the national capital on Thursday after holding a series of high-level meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. His arrival drew a large gathering of supporters, party workers and well-wishers who welcomed him enthusiastically outside the state guest house.
The visit comes amid heightened political interest in Karnataka following recent developments within the state Congress unit. Shivakumar was seen interacting briefly with supporters before heading inside Karnataka Bhavan.

Meanwhile, newly appointed Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president B K Hariprasad also reached Karnataka Bhavan after concluding his meetings in Delhi. Hariprasad's appointment as the new state Congress chief has generated considerable attention within party circles, with leaders expressing confidence in his leadership ahead of key political challenges in the state.

Both leaders are expected to hold discussions with party functionaries and review organisational matters during their stay in the capital. Sources indicated that issues related to state development projects, financial assistance from the Centre and upcoming political strategies were among the topics discussed during Shivakumar's meetings with senior Union leaders.
The presence of both Shivakumar and Hariprasad at Karnataka Bhavan has fuelled speculation about important organisational and administrative decisions that could shape the Congress party's future course in Karnataka.
Supporters gathered in significant numbers outside the venue, raising slogans and extending their congratulations to the leaders as political activity around Karnataka's leadership continued to intensify.
