GPS tracker on scooter helped uncover latest betrayal.
Amritsar: Cases of infidelity in marriages continue to surface, shaking public confidence in long-term relationships. One such incident from Amritsar has attracted attention due to its unusual details. Ravi Gulati, married to Himani since April 2010, revealed that he discovered his wife with another man in a hotel. Shockingly, this was not the first incident. In 2018, Himani was also found in a hotel with someone else. At that time, Ravi chose to forgive her, considering they had young children and he believed the situation could improve.
Ravi shared that his doubts had been growing over the past year. Concerned about her whereabouts, he installed a GPS tracker on his wife’s scooter. On the day of the latest incident, Himani left home around 3 to 3:30 in the afternoon and did not respond to repeated calls. Following the GPS signal, Ravi traced her to a hotel and caught her red handed. He said, “I had been suspicious for more than a year, which is why I installed the GPS to know where she was going.”

Ravi’s father, Parvez Gulati, said that the issue has persisted for many years. The family had previously resolved the 2018 incident through a meeting with Himani’s parents. The apology meeting even took place at an MLA’s house, and the families believed the matter had been settled. Parvez added that the latest incident was more serious because Himani openly stated that she no longer wished to stay with Ravi and wanted to return to her parental home.

Adding to the complexity, the man Himani was caught with had been introduced to the family as her brother. He regularly visited their home and spent time with the family, making the betrayal particularly shocking. Parvez noted that despite repeated attempts to contact Himani’s family to resolve the issue, there has been no response, leaving Ravi and his family frustrated and disappointed.

The incident has attracted widespread attention on social media and news platforms. Journalist and filmmaker Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj commented on the case, highlighting potential legal complications. She pointed out that Himani may file false dowry or domestic violence claims, which could lead to police registration and court-mandated maintenance, emphasizing how adultery cases can intersect with legal rights and family law in India.
Ravi’s experience reflects the emotional and social strain caused by infidelity. For families with children, such incidents are particularly challenging, balancing forgiveness, societal perception, and personal boundaries. The incident also raises broader questions about trust, deception, and the measures individuals take to protect themselves in long-term relationships, such as surveillance or monitoring.
