Royal Enfield launches new 'Shadow Ash' colour
New Delhi: Royal Enfield has introduced a new color 'Shadow Ash' for its Guerrilla 450 bike. This special color was launched in Pune during the GRRR Nights X Underground event. The 'Shadow Ash' paint scheme is available only for the dash variant of the Guerrilla 450. The ex-showroom price of this bike has been kept at around Rs 2.5 lakh in Chennai. This version has an olive-green fuel tank, which has a black finish, and it also includes the company's Tripper Navigation Dash Console.
Talking about engine and performance, the Guerrilla 450 is powered by the same Sherpa 450 engine that is found in the Himalayan 450. It is a 452 cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 39.52 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The bike has a 6-speed gearbox, which also gets slip and assist clutch. However, the engine mapping of the Guerrilla 450 is tuned differently.

Talking about the features, the Guerrilla 450 gets a full digital instrument cluster like the Himalayan 450, which also has Google Maps support. The lower variants get a digital display with an analog cluster and a tripper pod, which is also available in bikes like Shotgun 650 and Super Meteor 650. Apart from this, it has a USB charging port, hazard lights, two riding modes, ride-by-wire technology and LED lights.
The bike has a tubular frame in which the engine acts as a structural part. There are 43mm telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear, which offer 140mm and 150mm travel respectively. Braking is handled by 310mm disc brakes at the front and 270mm disc brakes at the rear. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 120/70 tyres at the front and 160/60 tyres at the rear.

The launch event included drag races, drift shows and music performances, which were attended by over 3,000 people. Riding clinics and bike tryouts were also held. Stunt rider Akildas T.D. tried to break the record for most drift circles in 43.48 seconds. Performances by DJ Cratex, Frankie and Taalam added to the ambiance.
