64 thousand people got six-month sentences in Bihar

Patna district has the highest number of life imprisonment sentences
According to the report of the Police Headquarters, out of the three criminals who have been awarded death penalty, two are from Madhubani and one is from Katihar. Patna district has the highest number of 35 criminals who have been awarded life imprisonment. This is followed by districts like Chhapra 34, Madhepura 33, Sheikhpura 32, Begusarai 31.
Punishment of more than 10 years
Among those who have been awarded punishment of more than 10 years, the highest number of 20 people are from Bhojpur. This year, the highest number of 56,897 accused have been sentenced under the liquor prohibition law.
Apart from this, 611 have been sentenced in murder cases, 231 in Arms Act and 122 in rape cases. 284 criminals have been sentenced in drug trafficking cases, 154 in POCSO Act and 151 in SC-ST Act

1,289 offenders identified
Till now, 1,289 such offenders have been identified. Police stations across the state have been instructed to submit proposals for confiscating these properties. Of these, proposals related to 306 criminals have already been submitted to the court for legal action.
