Independent candidate and former minister Shailesh Kumar has leveled serious allegations against the police administration during the first phase of elections in the Munger Assembly constituency.

Patna: 6o.13% voter turnout was recorded till 5 pm in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.
In Bihar, voting was completed in the first phase at 45,341 polling stations across 115 assembly constituencies from 7 am to 6 pm.

Independent candidate and former minister Shailesh Kumar has leveled serious allegations against the police administration during the first phase of elections in the Munger Assembly constituency.
He said that the police arrived at the home of Deepak Kumar, the former JDU block president of Jamalpur, assaulted him, and took him to the police station. Shailesh Kumar alleges that the police detained and mistreated several of his supporters without reason.

He said this action was being taken under political pressure to weaken his election campaign. The former minister has demanded the district administration conduct an impartial investigation into the matter and take action against the guilty policemen. Meanwhile, voting is continuing peacefully and normally in the Tarapur, Jamalpur, and Munger assembly constituencies of the district.
A video of an altercation between Deputy CM Vijay Sinha and an RJD MLC in Lakhisarai is going viral on social media. In this, both leaders are seen blaming each other. Vijay Sinha said that the RJD MLC had consumed alcohol and that is why he was doing this.
Meanwhile, MLC Ajay Kumar Singh said that he was not allowed to distribute money at night, which is why he was doing this. He said that his people stopped our car and resorted to hooliganism.

In Darve Bhadaur of Mokama Assembly constituency, Suraj Bhan Singh, husband of RJD candidate Veena Devi and a strongman, was protested.
