Free electricity up to 125 units

According to the information, consumers will be given free electricity up to 125 units. CM Nitish wrote on 'X,' "We have been providing electricity to everyone at cheaper rates from the beginning. Now we have decided that from 1 August 2025, i.e., the bill of July, all domestic consumers of the state will not have to pay any money for electricity up to 125 units.

Complete expenditure for setting up a solar power plant

It further wrote that 'we have also decided that in the next three years, taking consent from all these domestic consumers will be given the benefit of it by setting up a solar power plant on the roofs of their homes or in a nearby public place.' The state government will bear the entire cost of setting up solar power plants for poor families under the Kutir Jyoti Yojana. At the same time, the government will also provide appropriate assistance for the remaining families.

10 thousand MW in the next three years

In the end, CM Nitish wrote, 'With this, domestic consumers will no longer have to spend for electricity up to 125 units, and according to an estimate, solar energy will be available in the state up to 10 thousand MW in the next three years.'
