Patna: RJD leader Mahagathbandhan Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday slammed the ruling BJP dominated NDA of exploiting Bihar for votes while setting up industries in Gujarat.

The RJD leader urged the people of Bihar that they should "drive" the NDA government out of power during this upcoming election. Bihar can only progress if the present Government goes out of power.

Tejashwi Yadav spoke to reporters, 'Political parties exploit Bihar for votes and establish industries in Gujarat, keeping Bihar captive. This election, people have an opportunity to drive them out for the state's progress. I appeal to the citizens of Bihar to unite and prevent these parties from returning to power.'

He alleged that the government is buying off one million women by depositing money into their bank accounts. Tejashwi Yadav was referring to the Chief Minister's Women Entrepreneurs' Scheme, under which women are given an initial sum of ₹10,000 to start their own businesses.

Tejashwi Yadav said, 'The government is depositing money into women's accounts and offering it as a bribe before elections. But how can the Election Commission allow this?'

Scathing Attack on Amit Shah

Furthermore, Tejashwi Yadav also targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah, saying that he had never seen a Home Minister who cited a lack of land as the reason for the lack of industries in Bihar. He cited Amit Shah's statement in which Shah had said that acquiring land for industrial development in Bihar is difficult.

Tejashwi Yadav alleged, "Amit Shah said that industries cannot be set up in Bihar because of a lack of land. We have never seen a Home Minister who cites a lack of land as a reason. This shows that his aim is not to develop Bihar but to capture the state. He is not interested in setting up factories or creating jobs; his only goal is to remain in power."

Election Preparations

The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, 2025. The results will be declared on November 14, 2025. Tejashwi Yadav's statement has further heated up the election atmosphere and intensified the blame game between political parties.
