PM Modi to visit poll-bound Bihar on 30 October
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is schedule to attend two programmes in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra after Chhath Puja on 30 October as told by BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal.
According to reports the Prime Minister Modi first will go to Muzaffarpur where he will witness a program in Motipur in the morning. Later in the afternoon he will witness a program in Muzaffarpur.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday kick-started his election campaign in Samastipur.
While addressing a massive rally in Samastipur, PM Modi said that Bihar will have NDA Government again. He said, "The trumpet of the grand festival of democracy has sounded. The entire Bihar is saying 'Phir Ek Baar NDA Sarkar', 'Phir Ek Baar Susaasan Sarkar'. Jungle-raj walon ko dur rakhega Bihar."
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said that the people of Bihar have resolved to keep Jungle Raj out of the state. “Before coming here, I went to Karpoori Gram and paid tributes to Jannayak Karpoori Thakur. It is due to his blessings that people like me and Nitish ji, coming from poor and backward families, are standing on this stage today,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that Bihar has witnessed an era of transformation under the NDA government, adding that the alliance is committed to ensuring a prosperous and developed Bihar. “Rs 28,000 crore has been transferred to farmers’ accounts under the PM-Kisan Nidhi scheme, including Rs 800 crore to the farmers of Samastipur,” he informed.
Targeting the opposition, PM Modi accused the Congress and RJD of stalling Bihar’s growth. “It was in October 2005 that Bihar was liberated from Jungle Raj, and the good governance of Nitish ji began. But for the next ten years, Congress at the Centre tried to keep Bihar backward. They were taking revenge on you for voting for the NDA,” he said.
PM Modi alleged that the Congress and RJD had colluded to deny central projects to Bihar. “The RJD would pressurise Congress not to give any project to Bihar. Despite that, Nitish ji has worked tirelessly to bring the state out of its problems. A new era of development has begun in Bihar,” he asserted.
Continuing his attack, PM Modi accused the opposition parties of trying to “steal” the legacy of socialist leader Karpoori Thakur. “The RJD and Congress leaders, who are out on bail in scams worth thousands of crores, are now trying to snatch the title of ‘Jannayak’ for political gain. The people of Bihar will never tolerate this insult to Jannayak Karpoori Thakur,” he said.
