Buxar: A heartwarming story from Bihar’s Buxar district has captured the internet’s attention after a young man stepped in to help an orphan girl he met during a train journey and eventually married her with his family’s blessing.

A Chance Encounter That Changed Two Lives

According to witnesses, Golu Yadav met the girl while she was begging inside a train compartment. Passengers reported that she appeared visibly distressed due to inappropriate comments and unwelcome stares from a few individuals.

Sensing that she was unsafe, Yadav intervened to protect her. Realising her vulnerable situation and lack of family support, he decided to take her home to Buxar.

Family Support Leads to a New Beginning

Upon reaching home, Yadav informed his parents about the girl’s circumstances. Moved by her story and hardships, the family agreed to offer her shelter and care.

Over time, as the young woman settled into the household, Yadav and his parents grew increasingly protective of her well-being. With consent from his family, Yadav eventually decided to marry her a step that social media users later described as “straight out of a film.”

Social Media Applauds ‘Bollywood-Like’ Love Story

Photographs from the couple’s wedding ceremony quickly went viral after being shared on Reddit with the caption, “Seems like a nice film.”

Users flooded the comments section with reactions such as:

Akshay Kumar is gonna use this script now.”

“He not only helped her but intertwined their lives. Feels like a Bollywood plot.”

Laapataa Ladies 2 script.”

“Bihari people are the kindest people in India.”

“Really wholesome.”

The story has since been widely shared as an example of compassion and humanity in everyday life.

Separate Incident Highlights Ongoing Challenges

In another case from Bihar, police recently rescued a 14-year-old girl who had been missing for over two weeks from Jharkhand’s Dumka district. She had reportedly left home for a residential training centre but never returned, prompting her grandfather to file a missing complaint on December 6.

When initial searches yielded no results, police intensified their investigation and eventually located the minor, raising renewed concerns about trafficking and forced marriages in parts of the region.

The contrasting stories one of hope and one of alarm underscore both the challenges vulnerable girls face and the impact compassionate intervention can have on their lives.
