Major UP Police Shake-Up After 35 IPS Transfers, 31 ASPs Get New Postings

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday carried out another major administrative reshuffle in the police department, transferring 31 Additional Superintendents of Police (ASPs) across the state, a day after the transfer of 35 IPS officers.

According to the transfer list, ASPs posted in several districts have been given new assignments. The reshuffle covers districts including Unnao, Hardoi, Moradabad, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Mirzapur, Gonda, Ayodhya, Etah, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kasganj, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Kanpur Nagar and Agra, among others.

ASPs Shifted Across Several Districts

As per the list, Additional Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Singh has been transferred from Unnao to Hardoi. Subhash Chandra Gangwar has been assigned responsibility for traffic arrangements in Moradabad.

Mukesh Chandra Mishra has been given a new posting in Bareilly, while Nitesh Singh has been assigned a new responsibility linked to Gorakhpur.

The latest transfers affect officers posted across several districts, with new responsibilities assigned as part of the administrative changes.

Police Headquarters, Commissionerates Also Covered

The reshuffle is not limited to district postings. Officers serving at the police headquarters and various police commissionerates have also been transferred.

The postings of several officers, including Jitendra Kumar Dubey, Jogendra Lal and Raghavendra Singh, have been changed. Some officers have been moved to Lucknow, Prayagraj and other police units.

Changes in Noida, Kanpur and Agra

The transfer list also includes officers serving in the Gautam Buddh Nagar, Kanpur Nagar and Agra commissionerates.

Additional Superintendents of Police including Sudhir Kumar, Mahesh Kumar, Archana Singh and Santosh Kumar have been given new postings.

Apart from these locations, changes have also been made in the postings of police officers in Agra, Bareilly, Kasganj, Pilibhit, Etawah, Bijnor and Sonbhadra, among other places.

The latest reshuffle comes a day after the state government transferred 35 IPS officers, marking a significant round of changes in the Uttar Pradesh police administration.
