Accused in armed robbery case nabbed after encounter in Delhi

“The accused was wanted in an armed robbery case of PS Pul Prahladpur wherein he, along with his associate Kaushal, had robbed a Domino’s delivery boy on October 22, 2025.”

New Delhi: The Special Task Force (STF) of South-East District of Delhi Police and Pul Prahladpur Police arrested a wanted criminal after an encounter brief shootout near Badarpur Flyover Park here in Delhi on Sunday night. The accused has been identified as Himanshu (23), resident of Sanjay Camp, Dakshin Puri.

During an encounter Himanshu sustained a bullet injury in his right leg. After encounter Himanshu was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital.

Police has recovered one semi-automatic pistol (.32 bore) and two live cartridges.

The police said, "The accused was wanted in an armed robbery case of PS Pul Prahladpur wherein he, along with his associate Kaushal, had robbed a Domino's delivery boy on October 22, 2025. The video of this robbery had gone viral on social media."

Himanshu is a habitual criminal and was wanted in many cases. Police said, Accused Himanshu has a criminal history of three previous cases of kidnapping and robbery/snatching. He was released from jail in June 2025 and had become active again in street crimes."
