New Delhi: In a shocking incident in Delhi’s Shastri Park area, a 12-year-old boy was brutally killed by his stepfather in the early hours of Friday. The child, a Class 7 student, was reportedly attacked with a weapon, and his eyes were gouged out.
The accused allegedly recorded a confession video before the child’s body was discovered and sent a photograph of the victim to the boy’s elder brother.
The victim’s mother, Mumtaz, said the accused picked the child from school before carrying out the attack. She recounted receiving a threatening phone call from the man prior to the incident.
“He told me, ‘Come here, or I will kill your child.’ I thought he was lying. The children went to school, and he took the child from there and killed him,” she said.
The family reportedly learned about the tragedy only hours later. The victim’s elder brother, Aman, said, “We came to know in the morning around 7 AM, but he had already killed him at around 3 AM. He sent the photo in the morning.”
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact sequence of events, including how the child was taken from school and the circumstances leading to his death. Several suspects have been detained for questioning in connection with the case.
Authorities are continuing to probe the matter to establish all aspects of the crime and gather evidence against the accused. No further details regarding the weapon used or the motive have been officially disclosed.
