In the national capital, Delhi, the price of 24 carat gold today is Rs 1,43,600 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, 24 carat gold is trading at Rs 1,43,450 per 10 grams. The prices of 22 carat gold has also seen a decrease.
A day earlier, on Dhanteras, there was a significant drop in gold prices in the Delhi bullion market. Due to weak demand in the spot market, the price of 99.9% pure gold fell by Rs 2,500. Buyers remained cautious due to the high prices, which impacted market demand.
Gold sales have shown little improvement compared to the same period last year. However, prices continue to remain firm in the global market, with spot gold trading at $4,075.36 per ounce. International gold prices have also gained 5.2% over the past week.
Gold prices vary slightly across different cities in the country. In Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Chandigarh, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 1,31,640, while 24 carat gold is priced at Rs 1,43,600 per 10 grams. In Mumbai and Kolkata, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 1,31,490 and 24 carat gold is Rs 1,43,460. In Chennai, the price of 22 carat gold is Rs 1,31,390, and 24 carat gold is Rs 1,43,340 per 10 grams.

Silver prices have also witnessed a downward movement alongside gold. As per the latest morning rates, silver is priced at Rs 2,04,900 per kg, marking a rise of Rs 2,000 compared to the previous day's bullion market rate. Meanwhile, spot silver is trading at $52.18 per ounce in the international market. Buyers are advised to check the latest rates with their local jewellers or bullion dealers before making a purchase.
