Jammu & Kashmir Police Conduct Joint Raids Across Multiple Cities
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police have busted a major interstate and international terrorist network linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. Several key terrorists were arrested in the operation, and a large quantity of arms, ammunition, and 2,900 kg of explosives were recovered from their possession.
According to police, on October 19, 2025, Jaish-e-Mohammed posters were put up in Nowgam, Bunpora, Srinagar, threatening police and security forces. Following this, FIR No. 162/2025 was registered and an investigation was initiated. The investigation revealed that the network was comprised of educated and professional youth and operated through foreign contacts.

Investigation revealed that this terrorist group conducted recruitment, coordination, fundraising, and logistics operations through encrypted channels. Funds were raised through professional and educational networks, under the guise of social or charitable causes. The accused were found to be actively involved in identifying individuals for terrorism, radicalizing them, and procuring materials for weapons and IED manufacturing.
Police stated that this network lured professional and educated youth into terrorism and motivated them to participate in terrorism. The group also provided instruction and training to terrorists using social media and online platforms.

Intelligence Agencies Identify 14 Active Local Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir
During the investigation, joint searches were conducted in Srinagar, Anantnag, Ganderbal, Shopian, Faridabad, and Saharanpur. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from terrorist hideouts and warehouses.
Jammu and Kashmir Police stated that this operation is a significant step towards combating terrorism and strengthening local security. Police are continuously monitoring such networks and conducting special operations to disrupt the financial and logistical sources of terrorism.
Police say that interrogation of the arrested suspects has yielded several important clues that will help in future major counter-terrorism operations. Officials have appealed to the public to immediately report suspicious activities to the police.
