Hyderabad: The Telangana Prohibition and Excise department team has seized non-duty paid liquor (NDPL) worth Rs 14.50 lakh during raids in the Shamshabad in Hyderabad, an officials said on Sunday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
As many as 360 bottles were seized during a check by a team including the Shamshabad Excise Superintendent, along with DTF CI Pawan Kumar, SHO Chevella, and other personnel. Besides liquor bottles other related stock was also confiscated.
Taking to the media an excise officer said that the seized bottles were reportedly imported from Goa, Haryana, and UP. He said that the value of seized liquor is estimated at Rs 14.50 lakh.
"The Excise Enforcement team, led by Shamshabad Excise Superintendent, conducted raids in the Shamshabad area this Sunday morning. The team, including DTF CI Pawan Kumar, SHO Chevella and other personnel, seized 360 bottles of foreign liquor and other items. The liquor bottles were confiscated by the excise staff," the official said.
