‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ fame actor Satish Shah passed away; Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed

Mumbai: "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai" fame actor Satish Shah has passed away. Indian film producer and director Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news, stating that the actor is no more.

He was admitted to Hinduja Hospital on Saturday afternoon due to kidney failure, where he breathed his last. Satish Shah had been maintaining a distance from the media for some time.

He had not appeared at any public events or in any films for a long time. His last film, "Humshakals," was released in 2014.

Ashok Pandit shared the post on Instagram.
Sharing the news on Instagram, the filmmaker wrote, "It is with sadness and shock that we inform you that our dear friend and brilliant actor Satish Shah passed away a few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was immediately rushed to Hinduja Hospital, where he breathed his last. This is a great loss to our industry. Om Shanti."

Satish Shah's Career
Satish Shah was born on June 25, 1951, in Mumbai. He had a passion for acting since childhood. He studied acting at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, where his career was laid.

Satish Shah entered the film industry in the late 1970s. He has appeared in over 200 films, including several superhits. His biggest films include "Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro" (1983), "Masoom" (1983), "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa" (1994), "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun" (1994), "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995), "Kal Ho Naa Ho" (2003), "Om Shanti Om" (2007), "Main Hoon Na" (2004), "Ra.One" (2011), "Chalte Chalte" and "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi".
