Dipu Chandra Das's death sparks outrage

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Dipu Chandra Das, who worked in a garment factory in the Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. He was allegedly beaten to death by a mob. The incident sparked widespread outrage after a video of it went viral on social media. Many condemned it as inhumane and reprehensible.

Janhvi Kapoor says – This is hypocrisy

Actress Janhvi Kapoor shared a long post on Instagram, describing the incident as "barbaric and inhumane." She wrote that the lack of outrage over such incidents reflects the hypocrisy of society. Janhvi said that people react to events happening far away, but remain silent about the violence happening in their own neighborhood. She appealed for people to raise their voices against communal extremism.

‘All Eyes on Bangladesh Hindus’

Actress Kajal Aggarwal also reacted to the issue. She shared a poster on social media with the message "All Eyes on Bangladesh Hindus," showing solidarity with the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. Her message was clear: silence cannot protect anyone.

Jaya Prada and Manoj Joshi's emotional reactions

Veteran actress and former MP Jaya Prada expressed her deep sorrow over the incident in a video message. She said that such violence is heartbreaking and should not be ignored as a normal occurrence. Actor Manoj Joshi also questioned why there is silence over the killing of a Hindu in Bangladesh when voices are raised against incidents in other countries.

Bangladesh Government and Police's Stance

Meanwhile, the interim government of Bangladesh has described the incident as an isolated case. Police have so far confirmed the arrest of 12 people in connection with the case. Regarding the alleged religious accusations against Dipu Chandra Das, the police have stated that no concrete evidence or witnesses have been found. This has further deepened concerns about the possibility of minorities being systematically targeted.
