New Delhi: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-BD) of Bangladesh has found Ex-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina guilty in the case of alleged crimes against humanity which were committed during last year's student-led agitation. The agitation led to the fall of her Awami League Government.

The Tribunal has pronounced death sentence for Sheikh Hasina.

Sheikh Hasina is being tried by Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) for alleged “crimes against humanity” linked to a violent crackdown on protests in July–August 2024.

Hasina has been tried in absentia as she is innexile. The three-member Tribunal will also deliver the judgement against former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former Police Chief Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun on the same charges. Mamun was produced before the tribunal.
