Who is Sushila Karki?
Sushila Karki was born on 7 June 1952 in Viratnagar. She did post graduation in political science from Banaras Hindu University. Apart from this, she studied law from Tribhuvan University of Nepal. 51 people killed in violent protests
At least 51 people, including an Indian citizen, have died in the recent 'Gen Z' protests against corruption and ban on social media platforms in Nepal. The Kathmandu Post newspaper quoted Nepal Police co-spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa as saying that the dead included an Indian citizen, three policemen and other Nepali citizens.
At least 36 bodies are at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajganj, where postmortems began on Friday, the report said. Police said 17 bodies were recovered from different parts of the country on Thursday and Friday.
