Sushila Karki's name was decided in a virtual meeting of the members of the Gen-Z movement this morning. Karki was born on 7 June 1952 in Biratnagar. She studied political science and law and then started her career in the field of advocacy and legal reforms. During her tenure in the Supreme Court, she heard many landmark cases, including election disputes. Her decisions proved that the judiciary is an important institution protecting democracy.
Big meeting regarding appointment of caretaker Prime Minister
According to the Nepal Press report, a serious discussion was held in a meeting regarding the appointment of the interim Prime Minister. More than five thousand people attended this meeting. Most of them supported former Chief Justice of Nepal Sushila Karki. Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation Balne Shah is considered to be the most popular among the Gen-Z generation. But a Gen-Z representative said that now he (Balen) is not responding to our calls. The representative said, when he did not pick up the phone, then discussions started on other names. Sushila Karki's name got the most support.
Sushila Karki had already been proposed to become the caretaker Prime Minister by the Gen-Z agitators. According to sources, they had demanded 1,000 written signatures for this. But she was given more than 2,500 signatures, which was much more than her demand.

Names like Kulman Ghising, Sagar Dhakal and Hark Sampang were also mentioned for the post of acting Prime Minister. Similarly, a YouTuber named 'Random Nepali' also got a lot of support. But he said that he will move forward only when no one else is ready. The real name of 'Random Nepali' is Rashtrabimochan Timalsina. He is a lawyer. Earlier, he has also been the acting principal of National Law College.
