Washington: Amid ongoing tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran, a new controversy has emerged. US President Donald Trump has made a shocking statement regarding Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Trump stated that he doesn't even know if Mojtaba Khamenei is alive, as he has not yet made any public appearances. His statement has sparked a new international debate.

Trump raises questions about Khamenei's existence

When Trump was asked about Mojtaba Khamenei during an interview with local media, he said, "I don't know if Mojtaba is alive. No one has seen him in person yet." While Trump dismissed reports of his death as a rumor, he also stated that his condition remains unclear.

Trump further stated that if Mojtaba Khamenei is alive, he should take steps to end the conflict, demonstrating wisdom for the stability of his country and the region.

Statement on ongoing conflict with Iran

Regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran, Trump claimed that Iran wants to negotiate, but the terms presented so far are unacceptable to the US. He stated that the US military has destroyed numerous Iranian missiles and drones and caused significant damage to its military infrastructure.

Trump also claimed that the US will soon weaken Iran's maritime capabilities. He stated that several countries are willing to support the US in securing the Strait of Hormuz, although he did not publicly disclose the names of those countries.

US Defense Secretary also targeted

Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also raised questions about Mojtaba Khamenei. He asked why the new leader is not appearing publicly when Iran has so many cameras and recording equipment. He alleged that Mojtaba Khamenei is scared and injured, and therefore is only issuing written statements.

Responsibility assumed after father's death

It is noteworthy that after the death of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in an Israeli attack, his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, was appointed the country's new Supreme Leader. Upon assuming office, he ordered an intensification of attacks on Israeli and US targets.

Although some international media reports have also stated that Mojtaba Khamenei is still present in Iran and leading the military, Iranian officials have completely denied reports of his injury or disappearance.
