New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, BSF (Border Security Force) Jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw, i.e., PK Shaw, has returned home. On 23 April 2025, during duty, he accidentally crossed the border of Pakistan, after which the Pakistani Army arrested him, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
After about 20 days of restlessness and waiting, Pakistan released him, and he returned to India via the Attari-Wagah border. As soon as the news of the Jawan's return was received, a wave of happiness ran through his family. His wife, Rajni Shaw, was seen to be the most emotional, expressing her pain and trust during this time.
“Modi ji hai, toh sab kuchh hai (PM Modi makes it possible)”
Rajni Shaw said, "The biggest thing was that my husband was not in his country for 20 days. He was arrested by Pakistan. Today when the news came that he had returned, I was very happy."
She said that in the morning she got a call from a BSF officer, in which it was said that PK Shaw has now returned to India and is absolutely safe. After this, PK Shaw himself made a video call to her and told her that he was fine and would talk again soon.
"They took revenge for the Pahalgam attack and then returned my husband too"
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajni Shaw said, "In the attack that took place in Pahalgam on April 22, many people lost their husbands. But Modi ji took revenge for all of them through Operation Sindoor within 15-20 days. And then 3-4 days after that, he returned my husband too. I thank him with folded hands."
Her statement was full of emotions. She told how BSF officers, the state government, and the central government—everyone—helped in the return of her husband.
"The whole country was with me"
Rajni says, "The whole country stood with me for the release of my husband. Senior BSF officers, the local chairman, and even when I reached Chandigarh, everyone gave me courage. I also spoke to the government three or four days ago, and they said that your husband will come back this week."
She also said that her husband may have looked a little weak but is physically completely fit, and now she is just waiting for him to come home.
