Bypolls for 8 Assembly seats across 7 states/UT on 11 November

Agha Mehmood of National Conference is facing PDP candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi in the Budgam bye-election in Jammu and Kashmir. The by-election is taking place as Omar Abdullah resigned from the Budgam assembly seat and retained the Ganderbal constituency.

New Delhi: Bypoll for eight Assembly constituencies across seven states/UTs is going to be held on November 11.

The by-elections will take place in Budgam and Nagrota of Jammu and Kashmir, Anta in Rajasthan, Ghatshila in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa in Mizoram, and Nuapada in Odisha constituencies.

In Nagrota Shamim Begum of National Conference is facing BJP's Devyani Rani. In Nagrota a total of 13 candidates are contesting the bypolls.

The Nagrota seat was vacated after the demise of Nagrota MLA Devender Singh Rana of BJP.
