New Delhi: New buzz in the political circles is that the imminent Cabinet reshuffle would take place before 6th July . Senior leaders in the corridors of power were silent, as the word went around that new blood would be injected in the cabinet and seniors would be send as Governors or accommodated in the party organisation.
Sources confirmed that, since the Prime Minister had returned from Seychelles, the exercise could be carried out within a weeks time, as major internal exercise has already been carried out. However, the exact dates are not being mentioned, except a word that " Reshuffle would be carried out before the monsoon session of parliament, which is expected to commence from third week of July.
Behind the scene activity in BJP for the last fortnight indicated that there is going to be a rejig in both the government and in the party organisation as well. It is said that the leadership had already assessed the ministerial performance, regional representation and also evolving political requirements of the NDA.
Party sources say that since Prime Minister Modi travelling to Indo- Pacific region for almost a week from 6th July, the cabinet reshuffle could take place towards the week end. Prime minister would be visiting to Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand from 6th to 11th June. Japan Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is also scheduled to visit New Delhi from July 1.
Sources indicate that there is strong possibility of cabinet rejig before 6th July. It is said that if the reshuffle take place after 11th July, there would hardly any time for the new ministers to familiarise with their ministries when Monsoon session of parliament would start.
