New Delhi: Congress has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking political advantage of Operation Sindoor, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh shared a post on social media saying that Prime Minister Modi has called a meeting of the chief ministers of only those states that come under the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) on May 25.

He says that the purpose of this meeting is to take political advantage of Operation Sindoor.

Apart from this, the government of Pakistan is engaged in spreading fake news against India. Regarding this, the central government has made a plan in which the leaders of different political parties of India will go abroad and present India's side.

On this, Jairam Ramesh said that Congress will be a part of this international delegation because the party always gives priority to national interest.

Jairam Ramesh alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP are constantly trying to defame the Congress. He said that Congress had always talked about unity among all parties during India's military action against Pakistan, keeping in view the national security and interests.

Ramesh also said that when the Prime Minister refused to call a special session of Parliament, he suddenly decided to send a delegation abroad to put India's stand on the issue of terrorism from Pakistan. Congress has always politicized these matters, and that is why the party will be a part of this delegation.

Earlier, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi demanding a special session of Parliament.

This letter was sent after terrorists killed 26 people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22 April. Most of them were tourists. After this attack, India targeted several terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor.

The Congress had also claimed that after these incidents, PM Modi should have called for a discussion in Parliament so that the whole situation could be clarified and the countrymen could be told about the government's plan.

So, Congress says that PM Modi is using Operation Sindoor as a political weapon, whereas Congress has always been united on the security of the country.
