Delhi On High Alert Before Independence Day! Police Release Posters Of 19 Wanted Al-Qaeda, Khalistani Linked Terrorists

New Delhi: Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, Delhi Police has stepped up security measures across the national capital following intelligence inputs about possible threats from terror groups and disruptive elements.

As part of the security preparations, authorities have displayed posters and images of 19 wanted terrorists linked to organisations such as the Indian Mujahideen, Al-Qaeda and Khalistani groups at several locations across Delhi.

Officials said the move is aimed at increasing public awareness and assisting security agencies in identifying and tracking individuals wanted in connection with terror-related activities.

Security Tightened Ahead of August 15 Celebrations

Delhi Police officials said the security arrangements have been planned after analysing threat inputs from various intelligence agencies. The focus remains on ensuring a safe and peaceful Independence Day celebration, especially at the Red Fort, where the main national event will be held.

Multiple security agencies are working together to prevent any possible attempt to disrupt the celebrations.

AI Cameras and Advanced Surveillance at Red Fort

To strengthen monitoring, more than 1,000 CCTV cameras with AI-based video analytics have been installed at the Red Fort and other strategic locations.

The advanced surveillance system will help security personnel monitor crowds, track suspicious movements and respond quickly to any potential threat. Officials said real-time monitoring will play a crucial role in maintaining security during the event.

Commandos, Snipers and Anti-Sabotage Teams Deployed

The security plan includes multi-layered checking at entry points, anti-sabotage inspections and deployment of specialised teams.

Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), SWAT commandos, bomb disposal squads and dog squads will be positioned at important locations. Snipers will also be deployed at strategic points, while rooftop security arrangements have been strengthened around sensitive areas.

Security Increased Across Delhi

Apart from the Red Fort area, security has been enhanced at government buildings, markets, railway stations, Metro stations, bus terminals and other crowded places.

Police teams are conducting vehicle checks, intensive patrolling and continuous surveillance. Hotels, guest houses and public spaces are also being monitored as part of the broader security operation.
