On Monday, many major areas of Delhi received intermittent rain. These include areas like Kartavya Path, ITO, Lajpat Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Chirag Delhi, and Kalkaji. The Meteorological Department has said in its forecast that there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in Delhi on Tuesday, August 26. The sky will remain cloudy. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 31 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature is 22 degrees Celsius. The department has predicted rain till August 30, due to which the weather is expected to remain pleasant in the coming days as well.
The positive effect of rain has also been seen on the air quality of Delhi. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 62 on August 25, which is placed in the 'satisfactory' category. According to experts, due to rain and wind, the pollutants present in the atmosphere settle down, which improves the air quality and improves the AQI.
