Mysore: Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud Mysore is a spiritual wonder with as many as 32 forms of Lord Ganesh present there. It is situated on the bank of the river Kapila, one of the tributaries of the Cauvery, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The height of the grand entrance of the temple is about 120 feet, which opens into the courtyard of the temple. Here good number of devotees come to seek blessings of God. Inside the temple one can see the idol of Srikanteshwar that is Lord Shiva.
The 32 forms of Lord Ganesha are built on top of the temple's rampart. There is a shady corridor near the rampart, so that devotees can comfortably circumambulate and see these idols in the summer season. Looking upwards in this corridor, Ganesha ji can be seen in different postures - sometimes dancing, sometimes in yoga posture, sometimes in child form and sometimes in young form.
These idols are made of wheat-colored stone, on which fine and beautiful carving work has been done. This circumambulation experience is extremely wonderful.

Bal Ganpati, Tarun, Devotee, Veer, Shakti, Dwij, Siddhi, Uchchishta, Vighna, Kshipra, Heramb, Lakshmi, Mahaganpati, Vijay, Nritya, Urdhva, Ekakshar, Varad, Tryakshar, Kshipra Prasad, Haridra, Ekdant, Srishti, Udand, Ranmochan, Dhuddhi, Dwimukh, Trimukh, Singh, Yoga, Durga Ganpati and Sankat Haran Ganpati.
Temple Executive Officer M Jagadeesh Kumar said that the area of the temple is about 50 thousand square feet, which has 147 pillars. Nanjangud is mentioned as Sri Garalpuri in Shiva Purana. Nanjangud means the abode of Lord Nanjudeshwar.
