New Delhi: There has been disruption in Indigo airline flights across the country for the last several days, the effect of which is also being seen at Delhi Airport. More than 100 IndiGo flights have been canceled at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday alone.
Passengers are facing a lot of trouble due to this. All IndiGo flights from Delhi were canceled on Friday. Although the situation is considered to be a little better on Sunday, the number of flights is still not completely normal.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a notice to IndiGo CEO Peter Albers and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Isidro Porcaras.
In the notice, they have been asked to give an explanation on the disruption in flights and its reasons within 24 hours. The DGCA said the large-scale operational failures indicate significant deficiencies in the airline's planning, oversight, and resource management.

As CEO, Albers is responsible for effectively managing the airline and ensuring timely operations. Despite this, they have failed to provide the required facilities to passengers and maintain reliable operations.
Porcaras, being the Accountable Manager and Chief Operating Officer of IndiGo, is also being held responsible for the disruption.
The notice also said that the Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) plan approved for the airline was not followed properly. Under this scheme, the flying time and rest time of employees are controlled. The lack of smooth implementation led to disruption in flights.
Government officials said that Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu reviewed the situation with senior officials and had serious discussions with the CEO of IndiGo. DGCA's investigation committee will take further appropriate action based on the findings.
Due to this disruption, many passengers are facing delays in their schedules. Travel plans have been disrupted, and travelers are facing difficulty in rebooking and making other arrangements.
