IndiGo Airlines’ frequent delays and flight cancellations have exacerbated passenger inconvenience. Passengers faced long waits at several airports, including Delhi, Kerala, Goa, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, and were left without adequate food, accommodation, and food.
The Indian government admitted in Parliament that major airports, including Delhi IGI, faced GPS spoofing incidents in November, affecting flight operations. GPS spoofing, a cyber attack sending fake signals to navigation systems, can mislead aircraft and create safety risks.

On Tuesday, Delhi Airport had the second-highest number of flight disruptions in the world. At least seven flights had to be diverted to nearby airports like Jaipur and Lucknow. On Friday, more than 800 flights were delayed, officially attributed to a technical glitch by ATC.

Airport Officials said that the disruption was erupted from a malfunction in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS). This system feeds crucial flight plan data to the Auto Track System.
