IndiGo said, "Our ground team is working to ensure adherence to safety and visibility standards. Airport teams are also present at the terminals to assist passengers." The airline requested passengers to be patient and stated that flight operations will return to normal as soon as the weather improves.
This warning, however, comes as IndiGo is expanding its international reach. Earlier this week, the airline announced the launch of new direct flights between Delhi and London (Heathrow) starting February 2, 2026. This service will operate five times a week using Boeing 787 aircraft, which are being leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. The aircraft will feature a dual-class configuration with IndiGo Stretch and Economy Class.
With the new flight, IndiGo will now operate a total of 12 weekly flights to London, including the existing daily direct flight between Mumbai and London. The airline says this new service will expand international connectivity from the national capital.
IndiGo has recently launched flights from Delhi to Denpasar (Bali), Krabi, Hanoi, Guangzhou, and Manchester. The airline has also announced direct flights to Athens starting January 2026. In the last 12 months, IndiGo has added 10 new international destinations and launched more than 30 new international routes from various Indian cities.
